OPENING NIGHT GALA AT GREYSTONE-"MUSTARD MAGIC": A highlight of the Mustard Festival is the gala opening night at Greystone’s Culinary Institute of America in St Helena. It is entitled ‘Mustard Magic’ . This event includes a live and silent auction, gourmet food, wine and dancing. The magnificence of Greystone’s three story “castle” lends itself perfectly to this elegant affair. Saturday, January 31 at 7PM at Greystone Culinary Institute in St. Helena, California.

NAPA VALLEY PHOTOGRAPHY CONTEST: Known as the ‘Mumm Photo Finish’, this wonderful event that draws photographers from all over the country and has become quite competitive. The criteria is simple - photographs must be taken within the Napa Valley and must have the common theme of the vibrant yellow mustard flower so prevalent to this valley in spring and summer. There are several different categories from amateur to professional, innovative to theme pieces. From personal experience the competition is fierce. You will be able to enjoy phenomenal images of the Napa Valley at the beautiful Mumm Cellars as well as hors d’oeuvres and wine tasting. This is the festivals’ Grande Finale event and routinely sells out so book in advance. Saturday, March 28, 2009 at 7PM, Mumm Napa Valley, Rutherford CA.

THE MARKETPLACE: Celebrate the mustard season and taste mustards from around the world at The Marketplace on Saturday and Sunday, March 14 and 15, 11 am to 5 pm at Robert Mondavi Winery.This event will highlight a a Sunset Magazine pavilion, a taping of a Martha Stewart Living radio show and KGO Newstalk AM810 live coverage of Dining Around with Gene Burns. There will be fine arts and crafts from celebrated artisans and music from all over the world. Adult admission to The Marketplace at $35 in advance, $40 at the door. The Napa Valley Mustard Festival is a labor of love and a long time in the making. Le Grand Dîner: Saturday, February 21, 2009, 6 pm La Toque at The Westin Verasa Napa. You will be indulged by seven of the region's most notable chefs and winemakers who will prepare a seven course meal. Exceptional wines and experiences will be the focal point of a silent auction.

A Taste of Yountville: Everyone who is anyone knows that this tiny hamlet has more
gourmet restaurants than anywhere else in the Napa Valley. Notable chefs and
winemakers will have samplings of their wares. There will also be live music and
