Sometime during the afternoon, you are probably going to need to take a break for lunch. You have numerous restaurant choices in Calistoga, and we will tell you about two of our favorites.
All Seasons is a Wine Country classic. White table clothed marble tables set on a black-and-white checkerboard floor seem small once you pile them up with organic greens, wild mushrooms and various pastas and imaginative main courses. The wine list, like the adjacent wine shop, is chock-full of regional selections. Lunch is available every day except Monday.
The setting is informal and the menu Italian, day or night at Bosko’s. Here you’ll find fresh pasta dishes like bay scallops, mushrooms and pesto cream over fettuccine, linguine with bay shrimp, and spaghetti with meatballs. Or you can have a meatball, sausage, or Italian ham sandwich on their homemade focaccia bread. The wine list is extensive and the meals they offer are good and filling.
As you are coming for lunch, you should not have to worry about reservations at any of the restaurants in Calistoga. Also, all of the restaurants in Calistoga are within a couple of minutes of each other.
As an alternative to eating out, you might consider a picnic. Pioneer Park in the heart of Calistoga is a little oasis. Under the shade of redwoods and next to the Napa River, you can find a peaceful place to eat, nap and enjoy nature.
After you are finished with your winery tours, lunch and possibly spa treatments at Golden Haven, you may want to think about beginning your leisurely journey home.
